Cardinals Fans Fill Downtown St. Louis Streets to Celebrate World Series

As the 7th inning changed into the 8th friends said we needed to be downtown. They were right! As we parked near AT&T the Cardinals won the game. We walked quickly toward the stadium while asking ourselves “where are the fireworks?” The video explains the rest — taking you through the streets, into the stadium and then back out on the streets again. What a night.

    What a great night for St. Louis and downtown.

    [UR – Yes, I’ve had a lot of Cardinals news of late but given the circumstances I think it would reflect poorly of me to not cover all these events.

    I enjoy a game at the stadium, baseball has a nice pace about it. The Cardinals have a long history which is something I appreciate. But, this week I only watch the last couple of innings on TV. Baseball, frankly, is just not very interesting on TV and even worse on radio.

    The only thing I own with a Cardinals logo is a baseball cap I bought at the stadium earlier this year to help keep the sun off my shaved head while attending a game. The Cardinals are a big part of St. Louis and last night’s World Series victory went way beyond sports. The Cardinals just brought St. Louis some excellent publicity and hopefully some new money to go along with it.]
