How web advertising works:

• Ads rotate on the site so different ads are shown each time you look at the site.
• You buy a number of views.
• You decide how long of a period the ad runs — the software distributes the ads over the selected time frame.
• Default settings display your ad to a viewer no more than once per 8 hour period.  This ensures your ad is viewed by as many people as possible.
• The ad is linked to your website.
• Less than 1% click on an ad so it should include your basics (name, location. product/service, etc).

Standard Rates (Effective 11/1/2009; subject to change):

• Rate: $10/thousand “impressions”
• Ads rotate as selected by the OpenAds software.
• Example $150 = 15,000 views, $250 = 25,000 views.
• Payments of $700 or more will receive 10% more views.

Types & Sizes:

• 160×600 (2.22in x 8.33in) “Skyscraper” in sidebar of main page and individual post page.
• 728×90 (10.11in x 1.25in) “Banner” at top of all pages and/or at bottom of all posts.
• Files should be JPEG, GIF, or PGN and not exceed 45K. Animated GIF files can be up to 90K.
• Flash files will be accepted but note that they have not been tried before. The software indicates it can handle Flash.
• Advertisers can also host ads on their own server at any file size.
• View samples.

Payment:

• Payment shall be made in advance: make checks payable to Urban Review, Inc. and mail to 1611 Locust, Suite 404 St Louis Missouri 63103.

• Refunds are not offered for unused impressions.

Terms and Conditions:

• Steve Patterson reserves the right to refuse advertising to any group or business.
• Advertising for cigarettes/smoke shops, strip clubs, guns, or casinos will not be accepted.
• Advertiser is responsible for ad creation and website that ad links to.    Ad will be set to open a new window when clicked.
• Placement of an advertisement on this site does not constitute an endorsement of the product or services being offered.  Placement of an advertisement on this site by an advertiser does not constitute an endorsement of the viewpoints expressed by the author or comments made by the public on various topics.
