Steve Patterson founded UrbanReviewSTL.com on October 31, 2004. The following Spring he ran unsuccessfully for the St. Louis Board of Aldermen. In the Fall of 2006 he began working on a Masters in Urban Planning & Real Estate Development (UPRED) at Saint Louis University. In 2007 Steve went car-free and then moved downtown. On 2/1/2008 he suffered a massive stroke that left his left limbs paralyzed. After 3 months of hospitalization he returned home to downtown St. Louis. Steve is back walking & driving but he also uses an electric wheelchair to “walk” around downtown.
Steve completed the coursework for his Masters degree in June 2009 and will graduate in December 2009.
